To have an accurate forest road layer. Our foresters had some complaints about our previous county forest road layer regarding the accuracy. After the GPS was complete I found that in some areas the accuracy of the original layer was off by 100'-200'. Aitkin County Tax Forfeit Trust Lands en 1999 The date refers to the last year in which GPS data was collected. The project began in early 1998 and was completed in early 1999. Most of the field collection was done in the fall, winter and spring when the gound was either hard or frozen. Field data that was not captured while the real-time signal was being received was post-processed in Pathfinder Office using base station files from Minnesota Power in Duluth, MN.
